ACT Together COVID-19 Response
ACT Together places the highest priority on the health and safety of the children, young people and families we work with, along with our carers and staff.
With the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its declaration by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a pandemic, the lead agency of ACT Together, Barnardos Australia have an Emergency Response Team working to ensure necessary precautions are being taken to minimise the risk of exposure. This is supporting localised response effort in the ACT working with our partners OzChild and the Australian Childhood Foundation.
Recommended hygiene procedures are now in place in our foster homes, residences and workplaces in line with directions from the Australian Government Department of Health to ensure the health and safety of our children, young people, families, carers and staff.
We are also in close communication with our carers to monitor their health and safety and the health and safety of the children and young people in their care and are providing them with the most up-to-date information available.
For anyone visiting an ACT Together site, we request that you please follow the hygiene procedures as featured on the Australian Government Department of Health website.
Please continue to check our website for updates.
